Local Love: Meet My Favorite Denver Garden Growers (Besides Me 😉)

If you’ve been around here long, you know I’m all about community, sustainability, and growing local. And while I love growing food for my clients and coaching Denver gardeners to do the same, I’m not the only one out here getting their hands dirty (in the best way).

There’s a whole crew of incredible local growers, seed suppliers, farms, and garden centers who are doing amazing work—supporting the soil, the people, and the future of food right here in Colorado.

So in honor of gardeners supporting gardeners, here’s a shoutout to some of my favorite Denver-area growers and green-hearted businesses. Whether you’re looking for seeds, seedlings, compost, education, or just a little inspiration—you’re in good hands with these folks.

Why Local Growers Matter

Supporting local growers isn’t just a feel-good move—it’s a smart, sustainable, and delicious one:

  • 🌱 Healthier plants that are adapted to our climate and seasons

  • 💧 Lower environmental impact (less shipping = fewer emissions!)

  • 💸 Stronger local economy—supporting families and farms in our own backyard

  • 🐝 More pollinators, more biodiversity, and a more resilient food system

Bottom line? When we support each other, we all grow better.

Locally-Grown plants included in our auntie m’s garden memberships

At Auntie M’s Garden, everything we do is rooted in one belief: gardening should be local, sustainable, and joyful.

That’s why all of the plants we offer through our garden memberships are:

  • Hardened-off, regionally adapted, and grown right here in Denver—no greenhouse shock, no cross-country travel. Just strong, healthy plants that know our climate.

  • Grown with our OMRI-certified proprietary soil blend for safe, abundant food production.

  • And yep, we plant them for you in your garden in our proprietary soil blend: a fluffy, nutrient-rich mix designed specifically for Denver’s tricky, semi-arid conditions!

So whether you’re going full-on Full Basket Membership or just want a little planting support with the Mini Membership, you’re getting the best soil, the best plants, and expert guidance every step of the way.

Meet the Gardener

I’m Elisa Mack - a mom and Denverite who went from being a green-ish thumb to a kitchen garden fanatic simply by dedicating myself to the study of all things Colorado gardening.

Landscapers don’t design. And nurseries don’t make house calls.

We take a more full-service approach, from designing your dream garden to keeping it beautiful year-round.

And as your coach, I’ll help eliminate the guesswork through every season, no matter your level of knowledge.
